GODMODE

A new beauty brand at the intersection of culture and play.

The first launch from CLOSER brands, a beauty brand designed to merge the worlds of gaming and beauty. GODMODE was developed to engage a rising community of female gamers through storytelling, immersion, and play. Rather than rely on fleeting collaborations, the brand was built as its own universe, complete with original characters, lore, and a collectible product line — creating a new kind of beauty experience where cultural narrative and self-expression drive the identity.

My Role:

Creative Lead at CLOSER 

I worked on the art direction and creative development of the GODMODE brand from the initial idea in it’s earliest stages, through it’s evolution and final launch to market, including character and world development, user experience exploration, lore and storytelling approach, overall look and feel, graphic language, launch campaign art direction, ecomm experience and content, and full 360 activation concepts.

All collaborating closely with CLOSER’s in-house design director, copy lead, head of motion & motion team, creative director & CCO, plus a team of art directors, animators, illustrator, and vfx artists.
